Windows Server Datacenter 2019 is the ninth version of Microsoft’s Windows Server operating system, part of the Windows NT operating system family. It is the second version of the server operating system based on the Windows 10 platform, following Windows Server 2016. It was announced on March 20, 2018, for the first Windows Insider Preview release and was released internationally on October 2, 2018. It was succeeded by Windows Server 2022 on August 18, 2021.

Installation Options:
Server Core: This is the recommended installation option. It is a smaller installation that includes the core components of Windows Server and supports all server roles but does not include a local graphical user interface (GUI). It is used for “headless” deployments managed remotely via Windows Admin Center, PowerShell, or other server management tools.
Server with Desktop Experience: This is the full installation and includes a complete graphical interface for customers who prefer this option.
